Travel Consultant

POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to the Director of Tour & Travel, the Tour Consultant will assist in building and booking tour itineraries for groups in North America, as well as booking flights and buses for NCAA teams and individuals.

  • Building tour packages for groups throughout North America, including ground transportation, accommodation, meals and excursions
  • Accompanying groups in a Tour Director role
  • Managing accounts and booking travel for multiple clients, including NCAA D1 teams
  • Pursuing new event accommodation and travel business
  • Leisure travel sales, including Disney / Universal Resorts and Cruises

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with superiors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Work with members of the international and domestic travel team to create efficiencies and growth within the team
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Learn and expand offerings within the company including internal operational tools like Slack, ClickUp, and Hubspot
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized individual
  • Basic computer skills (primarily Google Docs and Sheets
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for sports and travel
  • SABRE GDS training
