Event Manager

Position Title: Events Manager               Reporting to: CDO

Department: Multiple                                 Job Location: Remote

POSITION PURPOSE

  • To oversee operational planning and deliver of owned/contracted events
  • To develop a team of event support staff 
  • To develop creative and cutting-edge ways to deliver events and increase overall revenues 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop operational plans including project plans, DRS (daily run sheets) and other needs as required
  • Act as a primary point of contact with event clients for planning requirements
  • Develop people management and recruitment plans as required for planning and event-time needs as required
  • Keep up-to-date with best practices of event planning and implement strategies that keep Tournkey at the forefront of industry trends and practices
  • Prepare and monitor event budgets as required
  • Attend event-related meetings and conferences to assist in the promotion of event hosting opportunities (estimated for a total of 7-10 days per year) 
  • Attend events on-site as required (anticipated 3-5 times per year)
  • Develop KPIs for each event; monitor and evaluate on progress
  • Assist in, and/or prepare grant applications, reports, proposals or contracts as required 

 Other Requirements:

  • Some evening and weekend work required
  •  Travel throughout Canada and the United States as required
